It’s not easy to stand out in the NBA, especially as a young player.

Anthony Edwards, however, proved right away that he was bound to be special and make history in the Association.

It didn’t take long before his individual success also rubbed off on his teammates, leading them to new heights.

As shown by the Minnesota Timberwolves on Twitter (via Hoop Central), Edwards has now joined the likes of Kobe Bryant and LeBron James as the only three players age 22 or younger to average 25 points, five rebounds, and five assists per game and reach the Conference Finals.

Any time you’re on the same list as James and Bryant, you know you’re doing great things.

Edwards has drawn comparisons to Michael Jordan, not only because of their similar game but also because of their resemblance.

Granted, it’s still quite early to compare Edwards to the greatest — or one of the greatest — players this game has ever seen, but the fact that he’s doing these things and hasn’t even reached his prime is fairly encouraging.

The Timberwolves are four wins away from making it to the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history, which is something they couldn’t achieve with Kevin Garnett at the helm.

It takes a special player to do special things, and the Timberwolves have found one of the most unique talents ever.
