The Los Angeles Lakers said they would take their time finding a new head coach to replace Darvin Ham.
Unlike other NBA teams, they are not going to rush into any sort of deal with their new coach and want to do their due diligence with each candidate.
They are currently working hard and narrowing down their search.
According to The Athletic, via Evan Sidery, the Lakers will decide between six candidates: JJ Redick, James Borrego, Sam Cassell, David Adelman, Micah Nori, and Chris Quinn.
The Lakers plan to meet with David Adelman, Micah Nori and Chris Quinn soon for formal head coaching interviews, per @ShamsCharania/@jovanbuha (https://t.co/AliIZcJ6Dw).

This list is a mix of assistant coaches and people who would be leading a team for the first time.
Some Lakers fans were hoping their team would choose someone who has been a head coach before but it looks like that is increasingly unlikely.
However, that makes a lot of sense because reports have said the Lakers are hoping to sign someone who will be with the team for a very long time.
If they choose someone young, they will have to deal with their inexperience, but they will also have a coach who could presumably lead the team for many years, perhaps even decades.
The Lakers are obviously taking this search seriously and consider it a major moment in the franchise’s history.
They want to acquire a coach who can help the team win now with LeBron James and years down the road after James retires.
This could be their most important coaching acquisition in many years and the Lakers are adamant about making the right choice.
Many reports say that Redick, Borrego, and Cassell are the frontrunners to land this job, but everything could change after the Lakers meet with these six potential coaches.
