JB Bickerstaff is still the coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers, at least for now.
But everyone in the NBA knows that he could be losing his position soon since the Cavaliers suffered yet another disappointing playoff run.
Because so many people think Bickerstaff could leave, others are preparing to interview for his job, according to Brian Windhorst.
Speaking to ESPN Cleveland, Windhorst said, “There’s candidates out there who are preparing to interview for the Cavs.”
Windhorst noted that the team hasn’t contacted anyone but there are people waiting in the wings.

It might be some time before the Cavaliers make a decision about Bickerstaff.
He is reportedly very close to the front office and is well-respected by the team and ownership.
However, the Cavaliers need to make some big adjustments this summer and they could commit to changes in the coaching staff.
The team once again wasn’t able to capitalize on all its talent and that could be blamed on Bickerstaff.
Of course, Cleveland suffered a slew of injuries this year, including during the playoffs, which had nothing to do with the head coach.
Still, he could be given his walking papers because Cleveland is eager to become a force in the East.
Speaking of that conference, Windhorst said that many people want to become head coach for the Cavaliers because the East is easier than the West.
That makes the job all the more enticing for numerous candidates.
All eyes will be on the Cavaliers this summer to see if they trade and acquire players and swap out the head coach.
This team could look very different when the next season begins.
