Miami Dolphins Pro Bowl quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has surprised a lot of people in his football career.
He won the Alabama Crimson Tide a national championship after coming in off the bench back in 2018.
Despite battling concussions and injuries, he has led the NFL in passer rating (2022) and passing yards (2023) in separate seasons.
In another sort of surprise, Tagovailoa apparently surprised his teammates after he mentioned this offseason that he was weighing above 230 pounds before losing 10-15 pounds..
Pro Bowl running back Raheem Mostert recently appeared on the Ross Tucker Podcast to chat about that.
“I am actually stunned that he even said that number…he’s honestly looking good. I think he’s looking in the best form, best shape of his life,” Mostert said.

Miami certainly seems to have something cooking on offense.
After making the playoffs in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2000-2001 thanks to the play of guys like Tagovailoa and Mostert, this franchise is on the rise.
Now, they are looking to make a deep playoff run.
They already had a great offense with Tagvailoa throwing the ball to future Hall-of-Famer and speedster Tyreek Hill, along with fellow 1,000-yard receiver Jaylen Waddle.
Earlier in the offseason, the team made another splash move to bring in former three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
This cast in Miami is stacked when you also take into account the speed and production at the running back spot with Mostert and stud De’Von Achane.
Do not make the mistake of doubting Mike McDaniel’s squad this year.
They are too talented.
