The Minnesota Timberwolves made a huge step toward reaching the NBA Finals this weekend when they defeated the defending-champion Denver Nuggets.
But their job isn’t done yet and they now have to battle Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks, which will not be an easy task.
Doncic and his team will put up quite a fight but Keyshawn Johnson believes the Timberwolves will ultimately reign supreme.
Speaking on “Undisputed,” he said that Minnesota is going to beat the Mavericks and go all the way to the Finals for the first time in franchise history.

He said this is going to happen because the Timberwolves simply have more players they can rely on night after night.
The Mavericks can nearly always count on Doncic and Kyrie Irving but then they have to turn to a role player to step up on any given evening.
As for the Timberwolves, they have a deeper roster with more reliable players who consistently show up and perform well.
This will be key for the Timberwolves, Johnson believes.
The Timberwolves may be the favorites to win this series but no one is expecting the Mavericks to be easy to defeat.
They have shown a ton of power lately and have done very well in the playoffs against some tough teams, including the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder.
Anyone who thinks the Timberwolves can sail past the Mavericks will be disappointed.
But Johnson makes fair points about size and consistency and Minnesota fans should be pretty excited about what may lie ahead for their team.
They will get a good look at what the Timberwolves can do on Wednesday night during Game 1.
