There are few players in the NBA today who are as vocal and outspoken as four-time NBA champion and Golden State Warriors star forward Draymond Green.
Ever since Green became a household name in the NBA while winning championships playing alongside Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson in the Bay Area, the veteran has had no problem speaking his mind or giving his opinion on a variety of basketball debates.
This has led to Green paving the way for a career off the court once his playing days in the league come to an end, as he’s already dabbling into the media side of things with his own podcast and as a guest on TNT’s NBA coverage.
Recently, Green made an appearance on “The Big Podcast with Shaq” and talked about how he would’ve guarded Shaquille O’Neal had his Warriors gone up against the Hall of Famer’s Los Angeles Lakers that also showcased the late great Kobe Bryant.
Comedy ensued when Green claimed his Warriors would contain O’Neal by simply denying him the basketball, via NBACentral.
Draymond Green says that if the championship-winning Warriors were to play Shaq’s Lakers, he would not allow Shaq to get the ball
Shaq: “Who guarding Kobe?”
Draymond: “Klay”
Shaq: “”

Obviously, there’s never an end to these hypothetical debates because they can’t happen in real time, so each side is going to come with the same energy, especially if they were both incredibly successful, like Green’s Warriors and Shaq’s Lakers.
Also, the game is much different than it was in O’Neal’s prime, with a much more physical approach back then and far less three-point shooting, so it would be interesting to see what would happen if these two legendary teams went head-to-head.
