Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors has butted heads with multiple NBA stars throughout his career.
But few competitors bother him as much as Jusuf Nurkic of the Phoenix Suns.
On the latest episode of “The Big Podcast,” Green called Nurkic the “biggest hater inside the NBA” and then explained why he didn’t like him.
Calling him a “softie,” Green said that Nurkic and his team won’t ever have the playoff record that the Warriors do.
He also said that Nurkic needed help, a reference to the Suns star’s comments about Green earlier this season.

Of course, Green and Nurkic had a serious run-in during the regular season.
Green hit Nurkic in the middle of a game, leading to a very serious suspension, counseling, and a ton of negative attention.
Although Green says he is working on many of the issues that led to that point, he obviously hasn’t worked on changing his opinion about Nurkic.
Nurkic publicly stated that Green needed help after he was suspended and that apparently didn’t sit well with the Warriors star.
He didn’t forget it and still holds a grudge.
Green’s comments mean that there could be more fireworks between these two players next season.
Although it probably won’t get as physical as it did in 2023–24, it’s clear that Green and Nurkic will keep disliking each other in the future.
Nurkic isn’t the only person who has gotten into it with Green but he’s made a lasting impression and tensions are still high between these two NBA stars.
Will their rivalry continue in 2024-25 and beyond?
