The Boston Celtics are trying to gain an unstoppable 3-0 lead over the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals but they might be doing that without one of their most important stars.
Chris Forsberg is reporting that Jrue Holiday is now questionable for Saturday night’s Game 3 with a non-COVID illness.
The Celtics were really hoping to have Holiday on board because he just had a couple of strong games for the team.

In Game 2, Holiday scored 15 points and 10 assists, and he went off for 28 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists in Game 1.
The Celtics were looking to have him be a major part of the team’s plans for Game 3, especially since it is the first game that will be played on the road in Indiana.
Holiday has been a big help lately and all season long he has been a great mix of both offense and defense.
That defense is especially important against the Pacers, who score in a high volume and can be dangerous from all over the court.
However, they haven’t been that dangerous lately.
After a close Game 1 that nearly led to victory for Indiana, they gave up Game 2 much easier, losing by 16 points.
Their backs are now against the wall and it’s expected they will come out swinging for Game 3.
If Holiday is out, the Celtics will have to change their starting lineup and find other ways to limit the shooters for Indiana.
The Celtics are really hoping they can put this series away quickly because that would give them more time to rest before the Finals.
With the Dallas Mavericks also holding a 2-0 lead over the Minnesota Timberwolves, they could be getting some time off before competing for the championship and the Celtics are hoping they can get the same.
