The Indiana Pacers needed to play a perfect game and rally together to have a chance to win Game 3.
They didn’t win, but for 47-and-a-half minutes, they did exactly that.
Andrew Nembhard took a huge leap to carry the load without Tyrese Haliburton, and T.J. McConnell as was even better, having one of the best performances of his career.
That’s why, following the win, Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown tipped his hat to his opponents, jokingly stating that they seemed to have turned into Michael Jordan or something with the way they were making plays, flying high, and hitting shots (Via Celtics on NBC Sports Boston).
“You had to be out there to kinda feel it… some of those guys turned into f****** Michael Jordan or whatever.”

Brown praised the Pacers for coming out with a lot of energy, and he also acknowledged that they didn’t play their best brand of basketball.
At times, it seems like the Celtics have just gone through the motions and won games out of sheer talent and experience.
Joe Mazzulla has left plenty to be desired with the big runs he allows other teams to get on, yet somehow, someway, the Celtics often find ways to come back and win.
They often take plays or even entire games off, and they have a tendency to rest on their laurels for big stretches, even in wins.
That’s what happens when you have the most stacked roster in the Association.
And while it’s not going to be easy or wise to resort to that strategy in the NBA Finals vs. either the Dallas Mavericks or Minnesota Timberwolves, the Celtics are just too good, and sometimes that’s all it takes to get the job done.
