The 2023 NFL season was an uneventful one for Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk, as he suffered a core muscle injury that limited him to just 12 games and 787 receiving yards after his career year in 2022.
Kirk has had a lot of time to recover and think about where things stand, and according to him it has been a little too much time, but he has a clear message he wants to send to people ahead of his return next season.
NFL.com posted an article shedding light on Kirk’s status heading into the summer, and Kirk said, “Got a chip on my shoulder, ready to wake some people back up and remind them the type of player that I am.”

The Jaguars lost Calvin Ridley to the Tennessee Titans in free agency this offseason and replaced him with Gabe Davis and rookie Brian Thomas Jr., so Kirk is going to be relied upon as much as ever once this season begins.
He and quarterback Trevor Lawrence showed some impressive early chemistry in his first season with the team when he posted career highs with 84 catches for 1,108 yards and eight touchdowns.
When he signed his four-year deal with the Jags, many thought it was a massive overpay, and Kirk is once again out to prove those doubters wrong.
