The Phoenix Suns’ superstar experiment didn’t go well in the 2023-24 NBA season as they were swept out of the playoffs by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Despite a trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, the Suns hardly looked like a title contender and now head into the offseason with numerous questions about it’s roster.
Governor Mat Ishbia has been adamant about bringing a title to Phoenix though his aggressive nature looks short-sighted as the team is devoid of any cap space or assets to make an impactful move this summer.
The team will need to get creative with adding reinforcement, with one avenue being the 2024 NBA Draft as they own the No. 22 pick.
This year’s draft isn’t strong, though names like Bronny James continue to gain steam because he could be the lottery ticket to luring LeBron James away from the Los Angeles Lakers.
With that in mind, Phoenix seems to be contemplating taking Bronny to form an even bigger superteam with LeBron via Evan Sidery of Forbes.
“The Suns are hoping to pursue LeBron James this offseason, which is why Bronny James is a very serious draft option at No. 22 overall to potentially lure him in. Phoenix appears to believe they can convince LeBron to join forces with Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal to create a historic superteam,” Sidery reported.

It’s hard to imagine that LeBron would sacrifice substantial money to play with his son in Phoenix, though anything can happen.
For now, it’s safe to assume LeBron re-ups with the Lakers on a new deal despite the possibility of playing with Bronny elsewhere.
