The Los Angeles Clippers fell short of their goal again.
Kawhi Leonard’s health has been a recurring issue for Tyronn Lue’s team, and it’s starting to feel as if he’s never going to be healthy in the playoffs again.
Russell Westbrook and James Harden have been solid for them, but they’re not the players they used to be.
Also, Harden is going to be a free agent, and Westbrook has a player option for next season, so there’s a chance one or both of them could be out of there.
The same goes for Paul George, who’s expected to fetch plenty of interest from the Philadelphia 76ers in free agency if he decides to opt for free agency.
With that in mind, NBA insider Marc Stein reported that the Clippers could also look to make a run at Chris Paul and Kyle Lowry (Via NBA Central).

Playmaking has been an area of concern for Coach Lue and the Clippers for quite a while, but it seemed like they had already addressed that need by adding two stellar passers like Westbrook and Harden.
Whatever the case, the Clippers need to find a way to get Kawhi healthy for the playoffs if they want to get over the hump once and for all.
They were the best team in the NBA at one point in the season, but they are banking all their hopes on an injury-prone player that has never worked out for them, so perhaps they’ll have to shift their approach in the offseason.
