The Minnesota Timberwolves need someone to step up.

Anthony Edwards was back to his usual self in Game 3, finally being efficient and aggressive.

Unfortunately for him, his co-star was nowhere to be found — again.

Karl-Anthony Towns had another game to forget, going 0-for-8 from beyond the arc and being a liability on the defensive end of the floor.

However, he looked completely unfazed and unbothered after the loss.

When asked about his shooting woes, which date back to the start of the series, the former No. 1 pick claimed that he just had to keep shooting, as he’s taking great shots and they’re just not falling.

Then, he claimed that he took 1,500 shots a day, and not many people bought that (via ClutchPoints).

Draymond Green: “Karl-Anthony Towns is capping. Nobody is shooting 1,500 shots a day right now.”

Charles Barkley: “First of all, he’s lying.”

Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith called him out on live television, stating that there was just no way he was putting up that many shots.

Smith stated that hoopers count makes, not attempts, and stated that no one was putting up 1,500 shots a day at this point in the season.

Barkley, however, went deeper.

He thought that even if he was telling the truth, the fact that he kept taking those shots was an issue within itself.

Whatever the case, Towns isn’t getting the job done.
