Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving of the Dallas Mavericks posted 66 points during Sunday night’s win against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

It was a huge moment for the duo and took them just one win away from their first appearance in the NBA Finals.

On Monday’s “Undisputed,” Skip Bayless spoke about the partnership and said that they are now making the case for being the “clutchest” duo in NBA history.

That is a huge claim from Bayless considering there have been many clutch duos throughout the history of the league.

LeBron James and Irving, for example, are another great clutch duo.

Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are another and there are plenty more.

The combination of Doncic and Irving is a new one but it has already made big waves in the NBA.

After a strong regular season, the team stormed into the postseason and has had a ton of success too.

The addition of Irving seems to be the missing piece that the Mavericks always needed.

He is able to do things that no one else can and is able to score some clutch buckets, just like Doncic has again and again.

When Irving joined the team, not everyone was convinced it was a good idea.

He leaves squads too quickly, he can be inconsistent, and he isn’t dedicated enough.

Critics of the player said just about everything about him.

But now the Mavericks are on the brink of returning to the NBA Finals for the first time in more than a decade.

If they are able to win a championship, there is no doubt it will be because Doncic and Irving are still working well together.

It might be too soon to tell if they are the clutchest in NBA history, but the pairing of Doncic and Irving is certainly working out.
