The Boston Celtics entered this year’s playoffs on a mission.

They had the best record in the NBA during the regular season, and many believed they would win the NBA Finals.

Sportsbooks gave them the best odds to win the whole thing heading into the playoffs, and after their Eastern Conference Finals sweep of the Indiana Pacers, they are just one series win away from accomplishing these goals.

One of the biggest reasons for the Celtics’ success over the past few years has been the two-headed monster of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum.

They have one of the most impactful superstar duos in the league, a nightmare matchup for their opponents.

However, despite this elite pairing, some have suggested that the Celtics should move on from one of their stars in the offseason if they are unable to secure a title.

Kevin Garnett discussed this in a recent video shared by the NBA on ESPN, indicating that the front office should keep them together.

“[Tatum and Brown] are the most battle-tested of out of all the young boys, and I think it’s their time,” Garnett said.

Garnett believes that Tatum and Brown are the cornerstones of this team and that moving on from either one of them would be a mistake.

Title or not, the Celtics have a great core of players moving forward, with Tatum and Brown leading the charge.

It will be interesting to see what the team looks like in the 2024-2025 season, and if they’re able to replicate this level of success.
