The Indiana Pacers couldn’t get a single win vs. the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals.
However, even if the final score says 4-0, it’s not like they got blown out.
As a matter of fact, they could’ve won three of the four games they lost.
The Pacers completely dropped the ball in Game 1, with some questionable decision-making by Tyrese Haliburton and coach Rick Carlisle costing them a win.
Then, the same happened in Game 3, with the Pacers up by double digits and some poor late-game execution.
The Pacers were then up by eight points late in the fourth quarter of Game 4, even without their best player, and they still couldn’t close them out.
That’s why former NBA player Eddie House wanted to give credit where it was due.
In his latest appearance on The Carton Show, he pointed out that the Pacers were actually a better team than most people gave them credit for, and it’s not like they were run over.
“We’re not giving the Indiana Pacers credit, that’s a good basketball team.”

He believes they only lacked a closer and praised the Celtics for taking care of business when the clock was winding down.
To be fair, Jrue Holiday made some huge plays to close out two of the four games, taking matters into his own hands.
Still, it feels like the Pacers handed them wins more often than not, and coach Carlisle deserves some of the blame for that.
Hopefully, they’ll learn from these shortcomings and will come back better and stronger, as they have a solid core and a bright future.
