The Golden State Warriors refuse to let their championship window close.

That’s what happens when you still have a top-10 — and arguably top-5 — player going strong.

Stephen Curry won’t go away any time soon, and the Warriors need to find better pieces around him to get back to their championship-winning ways.

Nonetheless, that also means they need to ship some of their veterans away.

NBA insider Evan Sidery reported that the Warriors are likely to part ways with Andrew Wiggins.

The Warriors are expected to actively shop Andrew Wiggins in trade talks this offseason.

Wiggins has $84.7 million remaining on his contract over the next three years.

He states that the emergence of Jonathan Kuminga has made Wiggins expendable, and with him set to make almost $85 million over the next three years, his contract is the perfect salary-filler to get some role players.

Wiggins took his game to a whole new level since he arrived in the Bay area.

He went from being an erratic shooter to an efficient scorer, and he proved that he could be a lockdown defender as well.

Unfortunately, that was also short-lived, as a series of off-court issues have kept him on the shelf for a long time, and he regressed significantly last season.

Wiggins could still contribute to a winning team, as he proved during the Warriors’ championship run a couple of years ago when he was arguably the second-best player on the team in the NBA Finals behind Curry.

Still, his market and potential value could be somewhat interesting, and the Warriors will need to be extremely cautious with the kind of player they target in return for his services.
