It’s not often that NBA fans and players can agree on anything, but some things translate to the screen just as well as they do on the court.
One of those things is the skill of a particular superstar who Austin Rivers says is the most skilled player he has ever played against.
Rivers appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show” today and said that Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving is “the most skilled basketball player I’ve ever played with or against” and added that “every hooper in the league loves watching Kyrie Irving play basketball.”

Irving is a basketball player’s basketball player in the sense that his game translates to pickup and streetball in a way that few other players have ever been able to, and it’s a reason why he is a template for so many younger players who have aspirations of making the NBA one day.
His bag is endless and he is arguably the greatest ball-handler of all time, which plays perfectly with his extraordinary finishing ability.
It’s the reason why all his peers speak so fondly of him even though he has had a tumultuous relationship with fans and the media, and that’s because on the court, he is undeniable.
Irving is one game away from the NBA Finals, where he’d get to face off against his old team and many of his old teammates with the Boston Celtics.
Irving has found new life since joining the Mavs and teaming up with Luka Doncic, and he finally looks happy and seems like he has found a long-term home.
