With the 2023-24 NBA season long since over for the Atlanta Hawks, the struggling franchise heads into the offseason with a lot of questions about the team’s immediate future, with some trades expected to go down this summer.

The main questions in Atlanta right now seem to be about Trae Young and Dejounte Murray, as it has become clear that these two backcourt stars can’t coexist on this Hawks roster, and things need to get shaken up in order for this franchise to get back on track.

As of right now, the general consensus around the league seems to be that Young will be the star that’s on the move this summer, as he is the team’s most significant trade asset and will almost certainly demand a subject trade haul in return.

Although there’s a decent chance that Murray could also be on the move, with plenty of teams looking to add a floor general who can excel on defense in the right situation, all eyes seem to be on Young moving forward as he could provide a power shift in one of the two conferences.

However, those two stars might not be the only players potentially on the move in Atlanta this summer, as De’Andre Hunter could also be shopped, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype (via Evan Sidery of Forbes).

Rival teams are expecting the Hawks to shop De’Andre Hunter on the trade market, per @MikeAScotto (https://t.co/ae4omtzrei).

Even though Hunter is not as attractive a trade piece for the Hawks as Murray and Young, he still might draw some interest around the league.

In 57 games during the 2023-24 campaign, Hunter averaged a career-high 15.6 points to go along with 3.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game, shooting 45.9% from the floor and 38.5% from beyond the arc.
