The Minnesota Timberwolves forced Game 5.
Chris Finch’s team came out with a lot of energy, and for the first time in the series, they were able to hold onto a late-game lead.
Their defense was as good as usual, and while Daniel Gafford went perfect from the field in the restricted area, they managed to keep both Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving in check for most of the game.
Following the loss, sports analyst Skip Bayless took to social media to share his take on what went wrong, pointing out the fact that Luka and Kyrie combined to go 13-for-39 from the floor in the closeout game.
In a closeout game at home, Luka and Kyrie combined to go 13 of 39. That’s mostly why the TWolves won.

That’s not going to get you far against a top-notch defensive team like the Timberwolves.
Minnesota will now try to become the first team in NBA history to come back from a 0-3 deficit, but that’ll obviously be easier said than done.
Both teams looked gassed out at the end of the game, and exhaustion is going to do it’s thing at some point.
Also, Dereck Lively II potentially returning for the Mavericks would be a huge boost on both ends of the floor, as he’s showing shades of a young Tyson Chandler out there, dominating Rudy Gobert at will.
The series isn’t over, and the Mavs cannot be overconfident.
Jason Kidd has made some solid adjustments thus far, and that should be the case again when they hit the floor for Game 5, and it’s hard to envision their two superstars shooting the ball so poorly again in back-to-back games.
