Kyrie Irving is one of the most talented players in NBA history.
He’s also been a bit of a troublemaker for most of his career.
His fans want his critics to keep the conversation strictly about hoops, but he cannot erase his past.
That being said, it’s nice to see one of the best players in the game finally enjoy himself, thrive, and display his incredible talent on the court.
Considering that, sports analyst Nick Wright believes this stint with the Dallas Mavericks should, indeed, change Kyrie’s basketball legacy.
Talking on First Things First, he stated that this was Irving’s last chance in the league, and he has clearly aced his test.
Has Kyrie’s time in Dallas changed his legacy?

Kyrie Irving has never seemed to be a bad guy, and even if he were, that doesn’t make him any less of an incredible player.
Perhaps he’s matured and realized that he was putting himself in a tough spot in the league.
Whatever the case, the issue with him, from a basketball perspective, had nothing to do with his views.
It had to do with the fact that those views often got in the way of his availability, and his stubbornness cost his teams over and over.
Hopefully, that will no longer be the case, as he’s an incredible player, and while he can feel, think, and do whatever he wants in his free time, people won’t care about any of that for as long as he shows up and plays.
