The NBA’s dunk contest is one of the most iconic all-star events in any sport.

There have been many legendary competitions and highlight-reel dunks from this contest, making it a spectacle to watch for fans.

Despite the prior prestige of this competition, today’s dunk contest has gotten a bit stale in many fan’s eyes, who are hoping it can return to it’s former glory.

Vince Carter and Michael Jordan have two of the most iconic dunks in the contest’s history, which Carter recently talked about in a conversation shared by Bleacher Report on Twitter.

He was asked about who would win in a heads-up battle between him and Jordan, to which he confidently said, “I’m winning.”

One would be hard-pressed to find an NBA fan who would say Carter was a better athlete or player than Jordan in a normal circumstance.

Jordan is often viewed as the best basketball player of all time, and he did things on the court that aren’t likely to be replicated.

However, in an isolated event like the dunk contest, Carter might have a slight edge over him.

Carter’s famed ‘honey dip’ dunk will forever live in the contest’s history, as it was one of the most electric dunks to date.

Jordan also had the iconic dunk from the free-throw line, another sign of his greatness and athleticism.

Fans would have been excited to see this dunk contest go down in both player’s primes, but sadly, they’ll never see this come to fruition in real life.
