Josh Jacobs Asked Davante Adams If He Would Come Back To Packers

A couple of years ago, the Green Bay Packers lost one of their best offensive players — and one of the best players in the game — to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Now, they’ve returned the favor.

The Packers made a big splash early in free agency by replacing Aaron Jones with Josh Jacobs to revamp their running game and their already impressive offense.

Unsurprisingly, they would most likely take Davante Adams back if he had an interest in returning.

That’s why Jacobs didn’t waste a single second trying to recruit his Raiders teammate back to Lambeau Field.

According to a report by Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, Jacobs texted Adams, asking him whether he wanted to come back, but to no avail.

Josh Jacobs: “The receiving corps is crazy, man. I’m so excited just watching them. Any one of them can go at any moment.”

Also Jacobs on Davante Adams: “When I came out here … I sent him the little eyes emoji. I said, ‘You thinking about coming back?’ But man, he loved it.”

Notably, Jacobs also raved about the Packers’ young core of wide receivers and stated that they could all have big games and step up, so it’s not like he was taking a shot at them by any means.

Adams requested a trade to the Raiders to be reunited with his college friend and quarterback, Derek Carr.

So, with the Raiders struggling badly and getting rid of Carr, it only made sense that questions about his availability came up.

However, even though he admitted that he really liked what Jordan Love was doing in Wisconsin, it doesn’t seem like Adams wants to leave or go back to the team that drafted him.

Still, Matt LaFleur, the players, and the fans would most definitely welcome him back with open arms if he changed his mind.
