The Dallas Mavericks made quick work of the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals, taking them down in just five games.
They will now face off against the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals, a matchup that many people are looking forward to seeing.
While their roads to get there were vastly different, it is clear that both teams belong here.
Charles Barkley believes that the Mavericks are a great team, but after watching what the Celtics have done all season, he ultimately decided to pick them to win the series.
As he outlined on the NBA on TNT, “I still haven’t seen anything to make me think the Celtics are not going to win the championship… I think it’s gonna be a hell of a series, but I like the Celtics.”

On paper, the Celtics appear to be the better team.
They had the best regular season record in the NBA this season, and they mowed down their competition in the first three rounds of the playoffs.
In Barkley’s eyes, they have done enough to make him believe that they are the better team, and he believes they will ultimately prevail in this series.
The Celtics have thrived off of their two star players: Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum.
Tatum and Brown are seen as one of the best duos in the NBA, but Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic are also among the best pairs in the league.
This series could come down to a battle of these duos, which should provide for peak fan entertainment.
