Every now and then, MLB’s official Twitter account ranks the top hitters in the game in their Power Rankings.
It’s a cool way to follow the latest trends and streaks, determine who is performing the best, and who has lost some steam in recent days or weeks.
In one of the least surprising things you will probably see today, New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge was declared the number one hitter on the list.
It means he is, officially, the hottest hitter on the planet.
There isn’t really much of a case you could make for someone else, is there?
Here is the top ten, and you will see incredibly talented batters such as Shohei Ohtani, Kyle Tucker (who is, like Judge, a solid AL MVP candidate to this point), and Judge’s teammate Juan Soto, who is also scorching hot:

The list is pretty much accurate and has some of the most productive hitters in baseball, although there is a case to be made that Jose Ramirez is too low and William Contreras, who has cooled off some, is a spot or two too high.
Still, they are all incredibly productive players.
The most incredible and productive of all, however, is Judge.
With a 1.020 mark, he now leads all qualified hitters in OPS.
So much for that early-season slump, huh?
He also leads the league in slugging percentage with .617 and tied Tucker and Gunnar Henderson in the home run lead on Thursday, with 18.
When he is healthy and has had a few at-bats to get into a rhythm, Judge is a top-three hitter in the game.
Some might say he is the very best, and he has a very good case for that being true.
