The Dallas Cowboys are in a do-or-die situation this year.
At least, that seems to be the case for quarterback Dak Prescott and head coach Mike McCarthy.
After three consecutive 12-win seasons but just a single playoff win, this team is in dire need of a Super Bowl victory.
However, this offseason, they have been dealing with contract issues with some of their best players, and they lost their defensive coordinator in Dan Quinn to the Washington Commanders.
FOX Sports’ Craig Carton doesn’t understand why the Cowboys are doing what they are doing.
“I really cannot figure out how and why the Dallas Cowboys are operating like this,” he recently said on “The Carton Show.”

Currently, All-Pro wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and All-Pro edge-rusher Micah Parsons are out of the building awaiting big extensions.
Prescott, who is in the building, is looking for a new deal as he enters the final year of his deal in Dallas.
These three should all be in the building and ready to roll by the time training camp starts, but who knows if they can pay all three?
Owner Jerry Jones likes to have this “all-in” mentality every year and nothing ever comes to fruition.
Sure, they tend to be a playoff team each year, but that’s about it.
No one takes them seriously because they haven’t proven themselves to be legit Super Bowl contenders.
After all, they haven’t won a Super Bowl since the mid-90s.
Their contract and cap issues this year have affected them in multiple ways, and they will feel that in the regular season with the roster being less than good enough to win a championship.
