This year’s NBA draft could end up being very interesting but not just because of the players who are selected for the league.
Instead, this year’s draft could be filled with a ton of wheeling and dealing with current stars.
For example, the Houston Rockets could be sending away their No. 3 overall draft pick, according to Jonathan Givony, via Evan Sidery.
They would do that in exchange for Brooklyn Nets star Mikal Bridges, who could be the missing piece the Rockets need.
The Rockets would be open to trading the No. 3 overall pick for Mikal Bridges, per @DraftExpress (https://t.co/vzwjmW0xmT).

The Rockets have been in hot pursuit of Bridges for some time and it sounds like they are going to try to secure him once again.
They pursued him at the trade deadline but the Nets declined their offers, according to this report.
But now that they have the No. 3 draft pick, they might have better luck.
After five seasons with the Phoenix Suns, Bridges has been with the Nets for two seasons now.
During this time, he has averaged 21.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists.
He has become a crucial part of the team’s lineup and has shown that he is an offensive powerhouse at times.
It’s clear why the Rockets would love to have Bridges on board, but will they be able to make this happen?
Houston is a team on the rise but they definitely need a few more pieces before they are true playoff contenders.
They fell short this season but they came very close and were just a couple of wins away from the Play-In Tournament.
Adding Bridges could give them the boost they need to return to the postseason.
There could be a number of deals related to the upcoming draft so this won’t be the last one we hear about.
