The Kansas City Chiefs have the National Football League in a chokehold.
As much as other competitors would hate to admit it, their lives would be much easier if they weren’t around, and they would love to see their downfall.
However, Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh doesn’t mind being blatantly honest about it.
When asked his thoughts about Travis Kelce’s relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift, Harbaugh didn’t hold back on his positive wishes (via US Magazine).
As a matter of fact, he’s so thrilled and happy about this that he hopes they form a family soon and that Kelce retires to spend more time with her.
“I hope they get married,” Harbaugh said. “I hope they have a bunch of kids. Heck, maybe he’ll get ready to retire here pretty soon to pursue that family aspect of his life.”
All jokes aside, there were some rumors and speculation about Kelce’s future floating around the league last season.
He drew some criticism for a somewhat subpar campaign by his standards, and with his brother Jason also weighing in on retirement, some claimed he could walk away from the game.
Needless to say, that’s no longer the case.
The Chiefs are pursuing history and will look to become the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls, and they’re going to need their superstar tight end to do so.
Kelce owns plenty of records for his position, particularly in the playoffs, and he has a legitimate chance to retire as the greatest tight end in the history of the game.
So, as much as the Ravens and their fans might not want to hear this, Travis Kelce isn’t retiring any time soon, not even for Taylor Swift.
