The Los Angeles Clippers saw themselves bounced out of the playoffs again, though it wasn’t because they played poorly but rather because they suffered rotten injury luck again.
Kawhi Leonard had the healthiest regular season he’s had in years, but unfortunately suffered a knee injury that forced him to miss the end of the 2023-24 season and a couple of games of the 2024 NBA Playoffs against the Dallas Mavericks.
When Leonard came back, he clearly didn’t look right as he was hampering the team both both ends of the floor and was eventually held out.
However, Leonard received a contract extension in the middle of the season that now looks a little suspect given he can’t seem to stay healthy when the playoffs come around.
The Clippers are seemingly stuck with their core, though at their best they can hang with just about any other team in the NBA.
As far as their next move is concerned, Paul Pierce believes Los Angeles should re-sign Paul George via All the Smoke.
“I think I would just sign Paul George and align up his contract with Kawhi’s,” Pierce said.
With Ty Lue locked in, what should be the Clippers next offseason move?

George has a player option for the 2024-25 NBA season that he could choose to decline so he can become an unrestricted free agent unless the Clippers sign him to an extension.
Like Leonard, George has an extensive injury history and would be better off securing guaranteed money now.
If Los Angeles is unable to re-sign George, though, he’ll have several suitors either in free agency or the trade market that would love to have the two-way wing on their roster.
