The new regime for the New England Patriots will be tasked with trying to get the franchise back to the postseason after several years of not qualifying.
The 2023 NFL season was one of the worst ones for the Patriots organization as they finished last in the AFC East with a 4-13 record, leading to the end of former head coach Bill Belichick’s tenure with the team.
However, New England quickly pivoted and promoted former linebackers coach Jerod Mayo to serve as the organization’s new head coach in place of Belichick.
Along with Mayo, the team also hopes that No. 3 overall pick Drake Maye can be their franchise quarterback after his strong collegiate career at UNC.
Like the rest of the league, the Patriots are in the midst of OTAs before they begin training camp next month.
While the players have been getting reps in on the field, New England hosted famous rapper Gunna for a workout at their facility, via Carlos Talks Pats.

In the video, Gunna can be seen lifting weights and doing exercises along with the team in their training facility.
He’s later seen catching passes from the JUGS machine which prompts one of the staffers to jokingly ask Mayo about signing the rapper to a contract.
It’s unclear why Gunna was at New England’s facility getting work in, but it does signal that the organization is much more open to the public then it’s been in the past.
