Athletes are just like us in the sense that they all wonder which actors would play them in a movie or try to find themselves in existing characters they most relate to on the big screen.
Travis Kelce is one of the most colorful characters in the NFL, and one of the actors he sees himself in is Adam Sandler, with one particular character resonating with him most.
On a recent episode of “New Heights,” his brother Jason thinks that he is most like Sandler’s character as the quarterback in “The Longest Yard,” Paul Crewe.

The movie came out in 2005 and Crewe was a former NFL quarterback who got shunned by the league for shaving points before winding up in jail for starting a high-speed police chase.
While in jail, he formed a football team with his fellow inmates to take on the guards, and it’s not a bad character to be compared to.
It’s one of Sandler’s least silly characters, as many probably would have expected Jason to say Travis reminds him of Happy Gilmore or Billy Madison, so comparing him to Paul Crewe is an honor.
Travis said Jason is either Bobby Boucher from “The Waterboy,” or Sandler in “The Wedding Singer.”
With the way things are going, one has to wonder if Travis will find himself on the big screen in some capacity, as this exercise proved there aren’t many characters quite like Travis.
With Jason now newly-retired, perhaps he’ll beat Travis to the punch and go Hollywood first.
