The Green Bay Packers may have done it again.

Going from Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers was one thing, but doing it two consecutive times might be even more shocking.

However, judging by what we’ve seen thus far, there’s no reason to believe that Jordan Love can’t be next in line of the long list of legendary Packers quarterbacks.

At least, that’s how former New York Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum tends to feel.

Talking on The Dan Patrick Show, the former executive stated that the only guy he would currently pick over Jordan Love was Patrick Mahomes.

“If we were drafting #NFL players, I think you and I would agree that we’d take Patrick Mahomes no. 1, but I’m taking Jordan Love no. 2… Who would you take before Jordan Love in terms of youth, ability and I think his future limitless.”

He loved what he saw from Love last season, stating that his future is limitless and that there was no one else he would choose over him if you considered his youth and ability.

Tannenbaum then doubled down by predicting the Packers would make it as far — if not further — as they did last season in 2024 as well.

The Packers were quite patient with Love’s development, and it proved to be the right thing.

Having him sit behind Aaron Rodgers clearly did wonders for his development, and while it may have also paved the way for Rodgers’ departure, it wound up being the best for the team in the long run.

Now, he’s about to get paid, and he must prove that last season’s success wasn’t a fluke.

But with the Packers only getting better with some more experience under their belt, this team should be very good for many more years to come.
