Long before he made it to the NFL, some claimed that Lamar Jackson would never be a good passer.

They called him a running back and urged him to switch positions, all while others thought he would be better as a pass-catcher.

Jackson proved the doubters wrong right out of the gate, and he keeps improving as a passer as the years go by.

That was evident last season, and it was on full display again in a clip shared by Dov Kleiman on Twitter.

Jackson was spotted showcasing his nice arm and his strong chemistry with second-year pro Zay Flowers.

Flowers is coming off quite a remarkable rookie campaign.

He was the team’s clear-cut best pass-catcher, even when Mark Andrews and Odell Beckham Jr. were fully healthy.

Granted, he made some big mistakes in the AFC Championship Game, but all young players must go through some growing pains to become great.

Flowers, like Jackson, knows very well what it’s like to be overlooked and doubted.

Some claimed he would struggle to get a hold of the league’s physicality because of his size — or lack thereof — yet he made defenders look foolish on every route.

The Ravens will have a very interesting offense under Todd Monken next season, especially with Derrick Henry’s arrival.

And with Jackson most likely being used more in the pocket as a passer and not as a scrambler, it’s nice to see that his rapport with Flowers is right on point months before the start of the season.
