The NBA Finals begin tomorrow night and, as always, it’ll be an opportunity for two teams to prove a lot about themselves.

For the Dallas Mavericks, it’ll be a chance to show that the duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving can make magic and that the West isn’t ruled by the Denver Nuggets or Minnesota Timberwolves.

And for the Boston Celtics, it’ll allow them to possibly finally win the title that has eluded them for the last several years.

Speaking on “Run It Back,” via NBACentral, former player Chandler Parsons said that Celtics star Jayson Tatum has a lot to prove in this battle for a championship.

“He’s the best player on the best team that’s supposed to win… If the Mavericks don’t win, who cares. They’re the 5 seed, they’re not supposed to be there,” Parsons said.

Parsons joins a growing chorus of fans who feel that Tatum needs to achieve great success in the Finals this year.

For the last few seasons, the Celtics have been a dominant team in the Eastern Conference and have even reached the Finals.

But they have always come up short, and some people have complained that Tatum isn’t doing enough to help his team claim a title.

This year, things were even brighter for Boston.

They were not only the best team in the East, but the entire league.

And they had an easy path to the Finals.

So now is the time for Tatum to lead his team, earn Finals MVP, and get his first ring.

There have been a number of complaints about his work in the postseason season so far, with numerous commentators and analysts noting that Jaylen Brown did better in multiple games and won Eastern Conference Finals MVP.

This is only putting additional pressure on Tatum and raising his expectations even more.
