Star cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner is quickly making a name for himself in the NFL, and the New York Jet is not shy about discussing his relationship with other league stars.
But before he donned the Gotham green, he was a proud Cincinnati Bearcat and will tell anyone that he relished his highly productive college career.
Gardner is also proud of two fellow alums who made huge names for themselves as NFL stars: Jason and Travis Kelce.
The defensive back said this week that he met the famous brothers a while ago and called them “my guys” (via Green Light with Chris Long).

Gardner admitted that he benefits from tips on being a professional from the brothers who came before him and carved out incredible careers on the professional level.
“Any advice I need from them, you know, they don’t hesitate to give it to me,” he said.
The Jet also admitted to trolling Travis Kelce a bit while he was still at Cincinnati, sending messages that he too would line up in the NFL someday.
And the younger Kelce would respond to his predictions, which Gardner called “love.”
Of course, brothers have their differences, and Gardner playfully noted that Jason is a humble man despite having what many believe will be a Hall-of-Fame career.
As for Travis, Gardner observed that the Kansas City tight end and three-time Super Bowl champion has “that natural swag.”
Jason, as the cornerback noted and every observer would agree, is “more chill.”
Gardner obviously respects his fellow Cincinnati products for their NFL accomplishments and is also blazing his own trail in the league.
