It’s an exciting time to root for the Houston Texans.

They’ve found true foundational pieces in C.J. Stroud and Will Anderson Jr., and there’s no reason to believe they won’t be as good — if not better — in their second season in the league.

GM Nick Caserio deserves plenty of credit for the way he rebuilt the roster after the Deshaun Watson trade.

However, people also need to give HC DeMeco Ryans his flowers, as the cultural turnaround he orchestrated there was simply remarkable.

With that in mind, former NFL player Louis Riddick claimed that he’s not worried about anything in Houston.

Talking on ESPN, he claimed that there wasn’t a coach in the league he had more faith in than Ryans, at least in terms of igniting the fire and bringing the best out of their players.

He believes the McNair family hit the ball right out of the park when they hired the former defensive coordinator as their new head coach.

And while some are worried about Stefon Diggs and his character, Riddick believes Ryans will have him stay in his lane.

It’s not very usual to see a team go from bad to good so quickly.

The Texans are now the team to beat in the AFC South, and that’ll be the case until proven otherwise.

Also, don’t be shocked if they make a deep postseason run this season, as they’re perhaps the most legitimate dark-horse candidate out of the AFC right now.
