The San Antonio Spurs are looking to improve their roster as soon as possible, partly so they can take advantage of the great skills of Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama.
That means that this summer will be filled with several moves, including some at the upcoming NBA draft.
According to Jonathan Wasserman, via NBACentral, the Spurs are “high” on former Providence guard Devin Carter and could pick him up in the draft.

Carter is one of the most exciting prospects in the draft and has caught the eye of multiple NBA teams.
The son of NBA veteran Anthony Carter, he averaged 19.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.8 steals last season and earned Big East Player of the Year.
He is best known for his defensive skills but he has also improved his offensive game lately too.
That makes him even more attractive to the Spurs, but also to other teams.
The idea of a two-way player who can produce all over the court is very enticing for San Antonio, especially if they can pair him with Wembanyama.
The Spurs have two first-round draft picks and it’s not entirely clear which direction they will take.
Will they package them together and try to make their way further up the draft standings or will they possibly use their picks to land a current NBA player?
Or will they simply pursue draft prospects and turn them into long-term talent in the league?
They have a few options and Carter is just one of them.
But they won’t be alone in their pursuit of him and he has also completed workouts with the Sacramento Kings and Chicago Bulls.
Will the Spurs land Carter and if they do, how will he fit with the up-and-coming team?
