The Boston Celtics were ready to play ahead of Game 1.
The Dallas Mavericks, on the other hand, didn’t show up.
Jason Kidd’s team struggled from start to finish, with the Celtics getting everything they wanted in the restricted area.
That’s why former NFL star James Jones believes the Mavericks could be in trouble.
Talking on FOX’s Speak, Jones argued that this could be a bad sign for them, as everything was just too easy for the Celtics.

He also stated that the Celtics have way too many shot-makers, all while the Mavs’ offense consisted mostly of either Luka Doncic or Kyrie Irving going one-on-five.
The Mavs’ offense has a worrisome tendency to go stagnant and iso-heavy when they’re down, and that takes role players out of rhythm.
Doncic and Kyrie combined for 42 points on 45 shots, and the Mavs only hit 12 of 19 free throws, and that’s not a winning formula.
Jason Kidd needs to hit the drawing board again and determine how to overcome the Celtics’ pesky defense and their aggressive switching.
Still, it’s early to sound off the alarms in this series, and there’s still plenty of basketball to be played.
