The NBA will make many changes over the next few years, appearing on new networks and streaming services and adding some new teams too.

Commissioner Adam Silver has made no secret of his plans to expand the Association and add at least a couple of franchises.

Which cities will be lucky enough to have one?

Former NBA coach George Karl predicted that on Twitter, posting, “Is it just me or does it feel like the Sonics are gonna be back in Seattle real damn soon?!”

Karl thinks the SuperSonics are coming back to Seattle, which is a thought that many NBA fans have.

There are many reasons why the Sonics could be back in the Pacific Northwest soon.

First, the way they left Seattle for Oklahoma City was very controversial and is still a sore spot for Washington sports fans.

Second, it’s a big American city with a fanbase and infrastructure perfect for an NBA team.

Third, multiple league stars have said it’s a good idea, including former Sonics star Kevin Durant.

It seems that the revival of the SuperSonics is almost a foregone conclusion at this point but the league hasn’t made anything official.

It’ll still be at least another season before Silver and the NBA announce any new teams.

It wouldn’t just be Seattle that got a team, which means everyone is wondering what other cities would enter the NBA.

Could it be Las Vegas, Vancouver, Mexico City, St. Louis, or others?

Adding a new team is a very big deal that requires a lot of planning and some alterations to the league.

Still, nearly everyone agrees that Seattle could be back in the NBA soon.
