Damar Hamlin fulfilled his dream of making it to the NFL, but that’s not his only passion.

Saturday night gave the Buffalo Bills safety a chance to combine two of his favorite things: Giving back and playing basketball.

Hamlin hosted a celebrity basketball game for his Chasing M’s Foundation, and he stole the show by knocking down the game-winning three-pointer.

Those in attendance went into a frenzy, with Hamlin taking off his jersey and standing on the scorer’s table like some of the best players in NBA history (via Yahoo Sports).

The game featured the likes of local football legend Aaron Donald, and another Pittsburgh native in Brandon Marshall, as well as other personalities like Flavor Flav.

New Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson also put on a halftime to show his support for Hamlin.

Hamlin became the most talked-about figure in sports in early 2023 after collapsing on the field and suffering cardiac arrest early in a game vs. the Cincinnati Bengals.

His charity foundation raised plenty of money in the wake of his near-death experience, and he’s continued to put in a lot of hard work not only to get back to the field but also to keep giving back to the community.

Hamlin’s history and resiliency are an inspiration and a constant reminder that everything can change in the blink of an eye, and props to him for the great work he’s doing with his foundation and for working on his shot.
