People might be running out of excuses and narratives to dismiss this Boston Celtics team.

Some believe they’re not an all-time great team, while others credit their success to their injury-depleted postseason opponents.

Others focus on Jayson Tatum’s shooting woes or whether the role players are ‘bailing him out.’

Whatever the case, the fact of the matter is that the Celtics are just two wins away from an NBA championship, and they’ve only lost two games in the entire playoffs.

That’s why fellow NBA player Patrick Beverley had no choice but to tip his hat to them.

Talking on his podcast, the pesky defender stated that they’ve been the most dominating team in the playoffs and that there was simply nothing anybody could say about them as a team or about their players individually.

He mocked some of the narratives about them, such as Joe Mazzulla being young, Jrue Holiday being limited in his role, Kristaps Porzingis being injury-prone, or Al Horford being too old.

Regardless of the case, the opponent, the context, or whatever, the Boston Celtics continue to scrape their way into wins.

And when they’re all clicking, they’ve been a historically dominant team, so what’s there to say about them?

The Celtics don’t get much — or any — sympathy from fans from other teams, but you have to give credit where it’s due.

The fact of the matter is that they’re playing great basketball on both ends of the floor, and all fans should appreciate that.
