The Cleveland Browns have many reasons for high hopes as the 2024 NFL season approaches, and many of them are on offense.

Of course, there is the return of star quarterback Deshaun Watson, whose season was cut short in 2023 by a shoulder injury.

But Cleveland also went out and made a notable trade for a top-flight wide receiver for their franchise quarterback to target – former Denver Bronco Jerry Jeudy.

On Monday, the Browns posted a picture of Jeudy wearing his new number 3 Cleveland uniform to celebrate.

The initial price was low, with only a pair of late-round picks going to Denver.

But Cleveland is on the hook for a three-year, $58 million contract extension, which shows just how much they expect from Jeudy.

And what does he bring to the Dawg Pound?

The talented Alabama product never started a full complement of games during his four years in Denver, with only 11 starts in 2023.

But with a notoriously unsettled quarterback situation in the Mile High City, Jeudy managed to haul in 54 passes for 758 yards and two scores for the Broncos last season.

And the clear bet Cleveland made is that with a better team and Watson distributing the football, the wideout will step up and be the franchise receiver they are paying for.

Despite a career that has been plagued by injuries and, at times, controversy, Jeudy now sports a shiny new contract and a clean slate in Cleveland.

And if he and Watson reach their potential rapport, the team may have gotten the steal of the offseason.
