While most people are interested in what is happening around the New York Jets with quarterback Aaron Rodgers not being at minicamp, some are also interested in kicker Eddy Pineiro’s situation in Carolina.
Pineiro was not seen at voluntary OTAs and was recently asked by the media about his reasoning for not showing up.
“My decision on that is kind of private right now between me and the Panthers. I’m not going to comment on me missing anything,” Pineiro stated, per Sheena Quick.

These types of issues tend to be personal and most players tend not to divulge that information easily.
Pineiro has bounced around the league after going undrafted in 2018.
The former Florida Gator has kicked field goals in four of his six career seasons.
He has spent time on the rosters of the Raiders, the Bears, the Colts, the then-Washington Football Team, the Jets, and now the Panthers.
In his career, he has made 89 out of 100 career field-goal attempts.
He has also made 83 of 91 extra-point attempts.
By no means is he the second coming of Justin Tucker or Adam Vinatieri.
But, the 28-year-old has kicked in a lot of different places and in a lot of different climates and stadiums.
This makes him a valuable asset to the Panthers organization and roster.
However, there will be plenty of pressure on him to make kicks this year given the struggles that the young offense has faced in recent years.
