Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics are once again in the NBA Finals.

However, unlike their last appearance at the championship, the Celtics have a very good chance of winning it all this time.

Tatum has had his fair share of problems but he’s also been scoring a lot too.

In fact, StatMuse pointed out that he is on the list of the most playoff points by a player before turning 27 years old.

Tatum has scored 2,665 playoff points, which puts him behind Kobe Bryant (2,694) and ahead of LeBron James (2,578).

And he has done all of this at just 26 years old.

During this year’s Finals, Tatum has averaged 21.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 7.3 assists against the Dallas Mavericks.

Some people have complained about his output on the court, saying he should be doing more for the Celtics, but these numbers prove that he’s definitely helping Boston.

Is he helping them enough and should he be even more productive?

The debate around that point will continue but it’s very likely that Tatum is about to become an NBA champion for the first time.

His entire career has led to this point and he has weathered a lot of criticism for some of his performances.

But winning silences all critics and no one can argue with a championship.

One of the big questions right now is who will win Finals MVP.

If the Celtics claim the title, will it go to Tatum, who is the face of the team, or someone else like Jaylen Brown or Jrue Holiday?

No matter what happens, Tatum has earned a spot in NBA history.
