One of the most entertaining teams in the NBA playoffs throughout the first few rounds of the postseason was, without a doubt, the New York Knicks, with Jalen Brunson and his squad capturing the attention of the basketball world with their inspired play on the basketball floor.

Although the scrappy Knicks had suffered some costly injuries before even making it into the postseason, with star forward Julius Randle ruled out for the season, New York remained resilient and was a tough out in the playoffs.

Ultimately, the Knicks’ season came to an end in the second round, with Tom Thibodeau’s squad unable to get the best of an upstart Indiana Pacers team led by up-and-comer Tyrese Haliburton.

Despite forcing the Pacers to seven games, the Knicks fell apart physically, with Brunson breaking his hand and the team being exhausted throughout the postseason.

However, the Knicks’ run was entertaining both on and off the floor, with former NYC villain Reggie Miller poking the bear while covering the playoffs and unwisely making a comment about owning the storied franchise during his playing days, which didn’t sit well with Brunson or teammate Josh Hart, as he told Taylor Rooks of Bleacher Report.

“Reggie, you started the chirping. He said the boogeyman is coming back to New York, I own this place… people probably wouldn’t have said anything if you just came there and did [your job],” Brunson said, via KnicksMuse.

Although the Knicks players made it clear they were not happy about the comments, Miller doesn’t seem like he got the message.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Hall of Famer covers more Knicks get at Madison Square Garden, as the avid fans in New York will likely make even more noise directed at him the next time he’s in town.
