After losing the first two games of the NBA Finals, the Dallas Mavericks seemed confident and poised heading into Game 3.
Betting odds indicated that they were going to win that game, hopefully getting back on track and being more competitive in the series.
While they did start hot in the first half, they were unable to keep up their momentum for the rest of the game.
One of the reasons for the Mavericks’ loss was Luka Doncic fouling out, unable to play for the final minutes of this contest.
Doncic was initially frustrated with fouling out, which he let reporters know in a postgame press conference.
However, he has since recognized the error in his ways and has apologized for his actions.
He recently sat down with Malika Andrews to talk about his postgame attitude, and how he later apologized to his teammates.
After talking about letting the team down, Doncic said he told his teammates, “My bad, you can’t do that, especially in the NBA Finals.”

Doncic and Kyrie Irving are the two leaders of this team, and if one of the leaders is making mistakes like this, it can be difficult to rally the troops around them.
When he is on the floor, Doncic has proven to be one of the best players in the NBA.
He is no use to his team when he is on the bench, and he has started to recognize that, as evidenced by his conversation with his teammates.
Can Doncic rally the troops in Game 4, hoping not to get swept in the Finals?
