Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks might be unable to overcome the enormous 0-3 hole they are facing in the NBA Finals, but that doesn’t mean a lot isn’t still on the line.

In fact, Alan Hahn told “Get Up” that “everything is on the line” for Doncic in Game 4 on Friday night.

This is Doncic’s best chance to wipe away the memory of a poor performance in Game 3 and remind people that even though he had an off-night and might not be a champion this year, he is still one of the best players alive.

“What he can’t do is leave what we saw in Game 3 as the lasting impression of what has been … a magnificent run in the playoffs for him,” Hahn said.

Hahn said that Game 4 would be the most important game in Doncic’s career.

It comes just days after he disappointed everyone with a truly troubled Game 3 showing.

During that game, Doncic lacked any sort of defensive drive and was fouled out with a few minutes remaining.

He is hoping to erase the thoughts of that, even though his team probably still won’t win a championship.

Before Game 3, Doncic was doing quite well in the postseason.

He has taken his team further than they have been in more than a decade and has looked like a future MVP and also a future champion.

But then he ran head-first into the red-hot Boston Celtics and they exposed Doncic’s weaknesses.

No team has ever come back from a 0-3 hole but Doncic and his Mavericks are going to try very hard.

Even if he doesn’t earn a ring this year, he can still give himself some sort of redemption.
