Texas is a state that has its own distinct personality and flavor, and one thing people love to do there is go to the rodeo.
A few brave souls will not just go to the rodeo, but they will even try their hand at participating in the rodeo.
That’s exactly what former NBA player and current ESPN personality Kendrick Perkins did recently, and broadcast partner Stephen A. Smith said he wouldn’t have gotten on that bull, via ESPN.
“It wouldn’t have been me. I wouldn’t even have gotten on it.”

Perkins played 14 seasons in the NBA starting with the 2003-04 campaign, and he is most remembered for the time he spent with the Boston Celtics.
He endured some rough years in Boston early in his career, but prior to the 2007-08 season, they traded for Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen, giving them one of the first modern superteams.
That year, Perkins started at center and helped them become one of the greatest defensive teams in basketball history, as they won the NBA championship.
He would make another trip to the NBA Finals in 2010, where the Celtics blew a 13-point second-half lead and lost Game 7, and two more would come in 2012 with the Oklahoma City Thunder and in 2015 as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Cavs would also go to the championship series in 2018 after signing Perkins for the rest of the season in April, although he didn’t play in that series.
Perkins is originally from Texas, where he was a huge high school star, so perhaps he got some practice riding bulls when he was younger.
