The Dallas Mavericks played their biggest game of the season on Friday night, fighting to keep the Finals alive against the Boston Celtics.

They came out triumphant in the end with a big 38-point victory but they are still in a very deep hole because the series is 3-1 in Boston’s favor.

But Luka Doncic hasn’t lost faith in his team’s ability to win and he spoke about that to the press after the game.

“It’s first to four, and we’re going to believe till the end,” Doncic said, via the NBA on Twitter.

Doncic has made it clear that he is taking things one game at a time, which is a very smart move.

At this point, the Mavericks have no room for error and they need to continually play as if their season depends on it because it does.

On Friday night, Doncic was looking in great shape on both ends of the court.

He clearly heard the many complaints about his performance in Game 3 and responded with a much stronger showing.

He scored 29 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists, leading his team and setting a much better tempo than Game 3.

But the work isn’t done yet—far from it.

Now the series shifts back to Boston, where the home crowd is going to be cheering loudly for the Celtics.

The Celtics know they are just one win away from their 18th championship and they will be dedicated to not making the same mistakes they did on Friday.

They took their foot off the gas and got embarrassed on the road but Monday night’s Game 5 will be their chance for revenge.

Doncic cannot think about that too much.

Instead, he and his team have to just focus on scoring the most during 48 minutes and keeping their season going.
