To say that the NBA is full of characters would be a massive understatement.
We’ve seen countless larger-than-life personalities throughout the course of the years, even coming from non-stars.
A great part of athletes over-saturating the podcast scene is that people actually get to know them.
Matt Barnes, for instance, had a bit of a bad rap during his playing days, but he’s grown a huge following since he started his “All The Smoke” podcast with Stephen Jackson.
Carmelo Anthony is part of the scene as well with the “7pm in Brooklyn” podcast, and he was recently asked if he would like to do a 24-hour live stream among his former teammates and who he would choose.

After some consideration, he chose JR Smith and Iman Shumpert to do so, stating that he may have had over 100 teammates on the New York Knicks alone but that they would definitely be the right choice.
He jokingly said that they could give the best content of all time, and it’s hard to disagree with that statement.
Melo also talked about Allen Iverson as a potential candidate, but he later wavered because he thought Iverson would just fall asleep.
He also considered Kenyon Martin, but he didn’t think he would be all that interested.
Anthony chose an interesting pair of teammates, that’s for sure, and with Smith, you better believe they could have plenty of memorable moments and some epic untold stories from their days together in the Big Apple.
